The Bluff, the Chapel, and Sunken Gardens are some of the most well-known and well-populated places on campus most days. These places are beautiful and help to show off the school. They are definitely some iconic places, and will make you want to visit!

The Arboretum is a wonderful place to go all year round! It is always so calm there and serves as a really nice way to get away from the busy campus life. You can get to the Arboretum from the East Campus Dining Hall (E-Hall).
Campus Square is the bottom center of campus. It is where the bookstore, mail center, and some places to grab food are located. When the weather is warm, the farmer market is here everything Thursday. They also put out tables with chairs and it is a great place to work outside and enjoy the nice weather. Because there is so much happening, you will always run into someone you know when in this area!

Downtown Harrisonburg is small, no doubt about that. However, it's not hard to find the gems of downtown. Here are a couple of my favorite places to go along with some more information about Harrisonburg.
Collete gives you an exclusive tour of her suite in Wolman Hall and explains all the reasons why she LOVES her Freshman dorm!!

Some traditional double hallways are co-ed, but not very many.

Nicholas Potts.

Here is a tour of the Honors College Dorms at Kent! These rooms are very big and open. They also come with your own bathroom that gets cleaned every week. Other options for on-campus living Freshman year include Eastway, Tri-Towers, Centennials, Prentice, and Lake and Olson. Everyone comes with a mini fridge/freezer and a microwave.

Jalyn Eaton.

Loyola Marymount University (LMU)

Hi! I'm Jalyn, a Junior Screenwriting major at Loyola Marymount University!
Mertz Hall is one of the six freshman dorms on campus that Loyola offers. Mertz is the largest dorm, holding almost 800 students. All of the freshman dorms are close to campus and dining halls. The RA’s and directors of each resident hall organize fun events for the students to participate in to get to know the other students that live within the same building.
