When working with the student who may have testing anxiety or define themselves a bad test taker, I like to start by suggesting that everyone just take a breath, right? You see something in front of you, you feel some kind of way about it before you do anything, just take a second to breathe and center yourself, then think about what you know, because it's probably more than you think And it's almost definitely enough. So if you list out all the things, you know, even if they seem trivial, let's say you have a triangle. The only thing you sort of know is that it's a triangle, but if you know it's a triangle, you know that the interior angles are 180°. If it happens to be a right triangle, you know how you can find the lengths of the sides or maybe use sine cosine and tangent and going from one step to the second step to the third might get you all the way there. If, after all that, listing the things that you know, it still doesn't seem like enough.
