I am a junior fashion major at C. C 80 and I'm gonna talk to you today about why I chose C C 80 and the school itself in kind of my experiences with it, while also getting into a casual version of Saskia Chita from Naruto. Um, actually, I'm gonna put a headband on really fast. Um, so I definitely wanted to make sure that I had a school that would kind of accommodates that. It's been three years, and I've met with nothing but positivity and love for fashion, different cultures and that kind of thing. Um, it's an excellent school with great teachers, great professors. I met with, you know, the head of the Passion apartment and other like staff and other students as well, and just kinda felt it out. I mean, so Our next question is how did C c a d handle the transition to remote learning back in March and everything started to flare up and we had thio, you know, kind of get off campus and and go back home or just go somewhere that wasn't, um, there for the safety of everyone else. The first couple of weeks, people were kind of scattered, didn't know what they were doing. People had issues getting home if they were international students and that kind of thing. After everyone got kind of settled, um, I think it was super fine. Uh, it was definitely a bit jarring for teachers to try to figure out how toe suddenly take, you know, to our 45 minute lab classes and put them, um, into a remote format because it's not something they never expected to have to dio. You know, talking with professors and each professor kind of talked with their classes to see what was what would work the best if there were any time zone issues and that kind of thing, which if that was cool, s so that we could really have, like, the most effective schedule in the most effective work for everyone. Um, so once we got that going, I thought the transition was pretty good. I think it was a lot easier once everyone kind of got through the initial craziness and got actually, you know, settled in and got to see what was happening and really got to figure out how am I going to do my work? Where am I going to do my work? And, um, you know how I'm gonna still log on for classes that were still having online meetings? As for the new semester, So this one that is completely online? Um, there's a couple of in person classes. I know One of my friends who is a fellow student has an in person class. People know what to expect, and they kind of know, like, how to turn things in how to use this software, like Microsoft teams and everything a bit more clearly. Um, in having this semester go a little better, you know, mhm. Like you could kind of set your own schedule when you're working on stuff. Um, So instead of being in the classroom for the entire time and just waiting for the professors to let you go, I think it's really neat that, you know, once our lectures air done, we get the work. We get off calls and we go work on whatever we need to dio so I could buy of, um it gives me a lot more flexibility on getting things done. I feel like I get my work done a lot faster when I'm not actually going to a physical class just because I kind of have the fruit toe work on which projects I want to whenever and I think that's been really helpful, um, to do that that way, instead of being okay, I'm in saying layout. I can kind of balance that work, and I think that's extremely important. So our next question is, what would be my advice for? Students are having a work life balance kind of issue. Um, you know, it's not always fun to do work first, but I feel like if you get your schoolwork done, then you can relax, knowing that things that are super, you know, kind of have like a hard deadline. Um, you know instead. So, like if I have a project, do say on the night I dio I've tried to do in the ninth. Um, what I dio is any time my professor gives me work, I sit down and do it As soon as my class call ends and I get is much of it done as possible and then Onley then do I take a break? Once I've gotten a good chunk of the work done and I will go and dio work on constantly for a couple hours or I'll do a makeup test or style awake or, you know, just something. I think it's really good to take time for yourself, But I know that I'm going to sit on their schooling for a couple hours if I don't want to put it down pretty quickly. So what I'll dio is, you know, maybe after a class call, I'll look for I'll check my messages on there. Then once my homework's done, then I get back on tic tac, Um, and to really help with that, if you know someone has, like a really strong kind of, um, pull towards their phone, put your phone on the charger across the room and play music, even through your laptop or computer or something else. So the final question that I have today is what is my unique experience with C. C 80? Uh, this is my favorite question because it's I really do have a very unique, um, experience with C C 80 and kind of how my time here is gone just based on the things that I'm interested in. So being a cause player, obviously that puts me in an entirely different category than you know. I come in with a prior knowledge of costuming and sewing, a different kind of construction deals, which is very helpful. It's really interesting to have that kind of perspective when you're already coming in. That being the case, I don't work with American fashion a lot, which is, you know, some kind of odd, because I go to an American fashion school. Um, but despite that, I have not been, you know, met with any kind of resistance or anything like that. Every you know, most students and professors are super open to it, and they're interested to learn, you know, like, Well, what's this other fashion style on? How do you design it and that kind of thing? And then But they could still give me an outside perspective on how I can improve it and like, maybe how I can improve my design. So far there's only been a few, but you know, we all I kind of agree that it's been a really great experience to be there. How would I address that with teachers And, you know, my preferred name? I preferred pronouns and that kind of thing. It's always a fear of, um, I gonna be, um I'm gonna be singled out for this type of thing. Am I going to be, um you know, um, I going t o be able to be who I wanna be or have to hide like that kind of deal.
