Um, they're three different floors on this building, and it's also open 24 hours. Eso We have a lot of late night study sessions in here. We're meeting a group to study or work on projects. Um, but in here is one of a free play classroom buildings. You can tell that it's pretty large for smaller sighs college, but it fits about 50 people in terms of like, how many chairs air in here. About 20 or 25 I've had classes is small, is 10, but my average would probably be like 15 or 20. So with the classes being kind of smaller, you have about 11 toe, one student to staff ratio. Um, that's something that I really found to be really unique and different about Georgetown is that my professors not only care about me like inside the classroom and care about what I'm learning, that they care about me as a person. I've had many conversations with my professors that have started with like, Hey, I need some help with class and ended with How are you doing? What are you learning? How are you growing? Eso? That's something that I really loved about being a Georgetown. How classes air structured some, like, lean heavily on, like lecturing, interactive and fun. All professors have different teaching styles, but they're all really good at what they do. Other than that, there's a lot of like at homeless. We also watch videos and do like hands on projects or like group projects as well. Eso with class workload. It really does differ on the type of class you're taking so, like, 100 level classes would be a lot less work than 300 level classes. You will definitely start with those 100 level and work your way up. Eso It's definitely nothing to get stressed out about. College is definitely different than high school in terms of work, but for me, I have a wonderful planner. I write down all of my things that I have to do like monthly, and I highlight them based on like classes. So I know exactly what I need to do each week and throughout the month. Then I have like a weekly planner, so I know what I need to like complete each day before the day's over. Eso the workload is a good amount, but it's nothing like stress Out over with Professor is being so close to us. Resource is that a lot of other students don't have a bigger colleges when you actually like know the people that in your classes as well, you're definitely not a number you're seeing in your known, which is very, very helpful in terms of work and getting that extra help that you would need way that classes were structured is a little bit different than it would traditionally look at Georgetown just because it's 2020 and everything is kind of crazy it up in the air. So what that means is that for 7.5 weeks you take a set number of classes. It could be three or four or even to depending on your workload and what classes you signed up for. Then we'll take finals at the end of those 7.5 weeks. Then we'll start over at about like that eight week mark. Then for that next seven a half weeks, you'll take a different set of classes on. Then you'll take finals for those s O. That's just how that's functioning, just to make sure that everybody's social distance and being really safe. In a normal Georgetown semester, you would have Monday, Wednesday, Friday, classes in Tuesday, Thursday classes and you would be taking anywhere from 4 to 6 classes of semester, just depending on your workload as well. Eso I'm in class a good like 3 to 4 hours a day, just depending on which day it is. Luckily we have Wednesdays off right now, which is giving us a really good break. Outside of that you have about 1 to 2 hours of work per class a week. Eso, that's just like for all of my classes, is probably like 4 to 5 hours of work outside of class every week. What I'm not doing work We have a lot of fun things to do in Georgetown. We go down there and we can eat or we go Thio movie theater downtown as well. We go into Lexington a lot because we're not super far away. Georgetown loves Thio have a super involved on campus too. Um, Georgetown Activities Council plans all of our events on campus. So we have one almost like every other day and two or three on the weekend, so that can range from like movies. We have Georgetown traditions like hanging of the green are songfest Eso You definitely won't be bored if you come to Georgetown.
