I hope you're really enjoying this season that you're in e hope. I'm involved in Independent Honors, which is honors program on campus. I'm involved in Christian scholars, along with Delight Ministries, which is a women's ministry that just started this year. Like I said, it is an honors program at Georgetown College. We have many honors programs, independent honors, science honors, health scholars on a few others that I'm sure I just can't remember off the top of my head. But, um, I was really drawn to independent honors because I'm a very creative thinker and I'm a creative honor student. I enjoy structure, but I really enjoyed the structure that I can kind of create. So I love the honors program because it's kind of cater to things I'm passionate about. Um, I can make the classes I'm taking in either religion or psychology honors credits by doing an honors increments, which is kind of just like an extra project that the professor gives you, which gives you an honors credit. Um, I also really loved that I was still gonna be challenged, but I didn't have to be in, like, Oxford Honors or health Scholars, um, to still be challenged, but I could be challenged in the things that I'm passionate about, so that's been super cool about independent honors. I absolutely loved it so far, things that it's required of you. I know that you have to take at least one honors increments or honors class every single semester while you're Georgetown Christian scholars is another one of the things that I'm involved in on campus. I was so drawn to the Christian Scholars program while I was looking at colleges, I really wanted a place that I could grow in my faith because religion is super important to me. I love Christian scholars because it really just seems like a really close, tight knit group that loved growing and learning together and hanging out, too. The focus of Christian scholars is to create a group of intentional students that love and care and pray for one another, but also really enjoy growing together as they all personally grow in their relationship with Jesus and then go out and serve the community around us. There's very minimal requirements you could really be, is involved as you want. You get to meet some people, which is awesome already to have some few friends when you're coming to school. Freshman year is like kind of hard to go ahead and meet people, but it's awesome to have people already before that. You're gonna know in like those classes and as you move in Anyway, that camp is just two days where you get toe, learn and be with those people that are gonna be in the same age group is you and they're gonna be directions. The student leaders that air, there are people that are older than you that are already in CSP. So you get to know those people professors will be teaching. So it's a really good learning and growing opportunity. I know it's a hard ask, but everybody loves the beach. I've heard that it's a wonderful, intentional time to just love and grow with one another and to really just enjoy the beach and that break a swell. I've gotten to know the professors that teach the religion classes and that are in charge of Christian scholars, which is led to a lot of my personal growth so far. So it's really been a great experience for me so far, and I know that that love for the program will only Oh, the other program I'm involved in a school is called Delight Ministries. Delight is a large organization that has chapters on a bunch of different college campuses. It's focus is to create a welcoming environment where women feel loved, known, welcome and wanted. My job is to kind of pair you up with someone that's a little bit different than you, because we really want to promote unity amongst Georgetown College campus through getting to know people that you might not encounter on a daily basis. You'll go out with one other girl that's a part of the delight tractor, and you'll just go and get to know them. My leadership role in participation in delight is 110% enhanced my college experience. Um, they're so intelligent and unique and funny and really enjoyable to be around eso. They've definitely provided that community for me, and then delight is a whole chapter has been so fun. I've loved encountering women that are so different than me, but also getting to see the unique beauty that God has instilled in them, while also just getting to know their hearts and how they are and the season that they're in. Eso now you might be asking, How in the world did I get involved? So with independent honors or any of the honors programs that I've mentioned, definitely contact Barbara Birch.
