My name is Elena Abbas wits, and I am from Florida, Kentucky. I am a marketing major in Art Minor here at Georgetown College, and I'm also currently a junior, and I am super excited to tell you guys about my experiences here over the past three years. So actually found Georgetown College in kind of a unique way. So I had originally been fully committed to in K you, but I decided to switch it last minute to Georgetown College because I decided that I wanted pursue my lifelong dream of being college sports and my entire high school career in childhood. I spent it in gymnastics, and so at Georgetown College here we have an acrobatics and tumbling program, which I'm super excited to still be a part of. It's similar to gymnastics, and I'm just happy that I get Thio continue to my sport while getting a great education on top of it. So Georgetown College also turned out to be a better financial option for me, and it also has what I want to study, So I'm really into graphic design. So I decided to marketing in art, so I was able to find your son college through my love of gymnastics, I actually found the college on USA Gymnastics website. They have a list of all the colleges that sponsor acrobatics and tumbling. So when I was going through that list, I saw one that was in Georgetown, Kentucky, and I decided that Oh, maybe that's close to where I live. So I decided to look into it and I reached out to the head coach and we were able to get on campus visit where I was able to go to the classrooms, looked through the dorms, go to a practice and meet a lot of the teammates, which is super helpful. So I actually committed Thio Georgetown College in April of my senior year, which is actually very light, considering my high school wanted us to have a decision by May 1st. So it's probably a last minute decision, but definitely not a decision that I regret making. So for the last four of this video, I kind of want to talk about what it's like to be, ah, college athlete here at Georgetown College. So I am in the acrobatics and tumbling program and My coach definitely focuses on school first, athletic second, and that's one great thing that I love about to refund college. Otherwise, I probably would have stayed here if Sports override education. I also know that many incoming pressure and also worry about being able to balance that student athlete life. I have taken six classes every semester and I have done very well and my teammates have done very well, which is very exciting. I also want to add one of my other favorite things about being at Georgetown College is the fact that the classroom sizes are very small, meaning that I have a very close and personal relationship with all my professors, meaning I can reach out to them whenever I like. We can meet in their office hours and all that stuff, and it's very, very helpful. I think that's part of the reason why I have done so well here in college. So looking back at high school senior me being unaware of what the future holds, I would say that Georgetown College was the best.
