Hi guys, my name is Elena de basil is and say I'm going to be talking about what it's like to live in a residence hall here at Georgetown College. I lived in peers for my sophomore year and for my junior and senior year I'm going to live at East. So as I discuss each one of these, I'm going to be uploading photos of what the dorms look like and my experience with them. So the first photo I have uploaded here is my freshman dorm room. So living in this freshman dorm room, it can get a little bit crammed, especially when you have two girls who bring a lot of stuff and it's a freshman year and you don't know exactly what to bring. As you can see in this picture, I have my bed lifted up very high, so I've got my drawers underneath. I think my fridge was underneath at one point, which is definitely a fire hazard. So don't do what I did, You got to move that out and then the furniture is movable so you can move around the desk and obviously the drawer which is under my head. Unlike some of the other holes. I recommend if you are going to move into collier hall or Alan Hall, definitely get some bad writers um it will definitely help you save a lot of room and have a lot more space in your door. This next one I have here is kind of like a raw photo of what my room looked like when I moved out. I actually had that kind of spun backwards to the bed and then obviously the bed is back down because I removed the bed risers and on the opposite side is the exact same furniture. So the next thing I have here is from Pierce Hall is where I live my sophomore year. As you can see in the back here we've got these two desks. Um they are actually bolted into the wall so they cannot be moved. This whole also has community bathrooms and you have a twin size bed. So then if we flip over to kind of a raw photo, what it looked like when I moved out, you can see, you cannot move those desks in the back and then the two beds you can move as you wish. So I have lived in two different east campus departments. Um The apartments are over here by the Toyota Stadium and they are for upperclassmen. The first photo I have here is from our moving day in the fall and here's my dog, she helped me set up my room of course. Um, all those photos a little bit tinier than all my other ones. It is the only place that has these two full size beds. So with that being said, I did have to purchase new sheets and I also purchased a new mattress cover for that. If you go down to the bottom, you can see that same carpet. This dorm room did not have carpet in it, but the dorm room that I'm living now does have carpet in it. If you get carpet or not, The store rooms do not have community bathrooms, you share a bathroom with another person in the house of four. Here is the raw photo when I moved out of the upstairs East campus apart. Um all this furniture is movable and you can definitely see the hard work for pictured in this. My bed looks like a mess, but that's okay, that's the reality of college. Um This room is a little bit smaller than the room I lived in before still East Campus. Um You can tell, you know, there's the fullest heist bed. I had to bring those curtains and then obviously all the furniture is movable. Um This room has a lot of the same aspects as the last one. The only thing different is obviously a smaller and then this room actually has built in carpet in it. So those are some of my experiences and how I set up my room here on campus and I'm very happy with where I live now.
