Why I joined Thunderbird and Toastmasters

Hi, My name is Beatrice and I'm a second year engine student graduating this May. I've been with Thunderbirds since August 2019 and can't believe how time has flown. Deliberate to me is a mounting part of diversity where people from different cultures and all walks of life across the paths and learn from each other. I'm very glad that I made the biggest position off my life and probably the riskiest one to leave behind everything back home and come to find the bird. I was in a static position with my career in finance and accounting, and I was really eager to explore other career opportunities to pivot to. I'm the president off celebrate toastmaster club and member off the printer club. I joined Toastmasters Club because I would like to shop in my communication, public speaking and leadership skills. I joined the Entrepreneur Club because of my passion in social enterprise impact investing and to start up my own business one day, I feel that new students should really get the most out of s student experience at Thunderbird by staying active and engaged with the student clubs. For me, I'm learning a lot and building valuable relationships by being part of the toastmaster leadership team and by participating in the various events held by student clubs. You went to gain the most off your time here at Thunderbird. Staying active in student clubs is one of the easiest way to engage and learn outside of the classroom.
