Before I talk about that, I wanted to talk a little bit about where I study, how often I need a study and the struggle of work, life, balance in college. I personally rarely study in the library, and the reason is because most students do, and that makes it really hard to find a desk or spot to sit sometimes, and the spots that are available are a lot of times not very cozy or comfortable. So I'm here with my friend Jasmine from my dorm and tell me, where are your favorite spots to study on campus? I would say one of my favorite spots, the Studies and Gettis Hall, just because you can have an entire classroom with, like a table in a whiteboard to yourself. There's not that many other people around, and have you taken advantage of Father Bob's coffee house and Gettys? I have not. I don't know if you drink coffee, but wall Gettys is open. There's a coffee house where you can just walk in, grab a mug and help yourself to coffee at any point like completely for free, which is kind of a hack. It really just depends on where I am already, what I need to dio um, where my friends are and things like that. Some spots that I do enjoy to go include Thie Math Library, which is in the basement of Hayes Healy, a fun room in Jordan Hall, which, I'll show you. I do like to go to Gettys, Father Bob's coffee house, as Jasmine said. Recently, I've really enjoyed studying in the Duncan Student Center, although as an engineering student, I do have to spend a at least a focused three hours on work every single day and even more on Sunday. Sunday is the big crammed a study day, and it sometimes can be problematic that I don't have a specific study spot because for a lot of students, it helps to have one spot they always go to when they know that they need to grind and get their work done. I really enjoy the change of pace, and when there is just that one spot that I always go to, it starts to feel like the torture spot, so I don't really like that. I can say that even as a senior at Notre Dame, I still don't have the work life balance nailed out. It's a really, really hard thing to do in college because unlike high school or working life, there is always work you can't be doing and always an event you can't be going to college students air up until all hours of the night there. So much stuff to do, all centralized on this campus and especially at a place like Notre Dame. It's so hard because the student body here is very much a work hard play, hard type. So they keep very busy schedules, and when we're working, we need to work, and when we're playing, we play hard.
