It's Kira here and today with another video about what I did for the world's longest winter break. Basically, what happened was that UVM decided to change our semester schedule a little bit. They changed the start and end times to make it so that there could be quarantine time at the beginning for students that have to return to campus and to condense our semester so that we wouldn't have a spring break so you couldn't travel, which would allow for possible transmission of co vid, so that resulted in a seven week long winter break. Today I wanted to share with you what I did during that time. Thio stay happy and healthy and productive and all that. So during week one, a lot of what I did was just big time chilling. I caught up on some TV shows that I hadn't had a chance to watch during finals week, and I also tried to get myself in the Christmas spirit. So I wrote some Christmas cards and really just relaxed. I wrapped a couple of Christmas presents, which is always one of my favorite things to do every single year, because I absolutely love gift giving. Another cool thing that happened during this break was it. So a lot of what I did was kind of some random Newhouse type chores. I helped, you know, clean and hang up curtains and such. That was really fun because it really felt like a new beginning for us. I thought it was really satisfying to you to organize all my stuff into a new space. That, of course, brings us too weak to where my sister and I did some fun things to get us into the Christmas spirit, including this three. I actually drove all the way back up to Vermont in my little car, the coast. Then I began my quarantine, which for me consisted of a lot of journaling. Journaling is one of my favorite hobbies, and with the start of the New Year, I always start a new journal and One thing I do is I like to put a lot of stickers on my journal that are either of things that I like or cool pictures. Or a lot of times I'll find stickers that have cool sayings on them so that it's like a positive message every time I look at my journal and this year I picked a sticker that said, Enjoy where you are now because I feel like I'm always looking forward to what's coming next in my life when at one point where I am now is what I was looking forward to. So it's a good reminder to my own self to just slow down, enjoy where I am my life right now and stay positive. So I finished putting all the stickers on my journal, and I'm really happy with how it came out. So then I actually began the journal and in the hopes the 2021 will be better than 2020 waas. I did a little fingers crossed image on this first page, and I'm actually really happy with how it turned out. I'm not really a great draw are I don't pride myself on that, but I think this turned out pretty cute, and I hope it's a good omen through this year. Now here's the part where my life felt the same every single day I was going toe work every day I was cooking with my roommates. I was playing games and every day was like this going toe work, you know, spending time with my roommates, watching TV, eating ice cream, obviously playing war games, going to work like a different game and, of course, journaling some more. Here's a segment of how to not lose your marbles when every day is the same. I like to make my environment as cozy as possible, so I have my lights on. I have nice music playing, and I love when my room smells good. So I have this cute little astronaut air freshener that makes room smell great. Finally, break was over, and it was time to get ready for the next semester of school. So I wrote down my class schedule in my journal, I instinctively cleaned up my backpack and then realized I actually didn't need it because I wasn't going to campus because coded, of course, the next morning was the first day of classes. So I made myself a nice big breakfast, and I poured myself a modulate to get the day and the semester started offer right. Of course, it was time for my first class. Thank goodness I'm so excited that the semester has started again and that I have things to do again. That is what I did for the world's longest winter break. I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope everyone semesters off to a great start and I'll see you in the next video by.
