I'm from Bergen County, New Jersey, and I'm a graduate student at the belly school business for Fordham eso Some three things I want to cover you guys today is one provides some facts about Fordham at its fax f a Q, not faxes and straight facts, though there might be some of those two to I wanna tell you guys why I chose the program for myself and three. Eso my undergraduate was the idea accounting, and I also did that at Fordham. So I did an undergraduate accounting program at Fordham, and I just used that and went straight to graduate school to do the five years master's program. It's called a M s A Masters in accounting here in Fordham S O. That was my process. So it's it's kind of unique, for if you are an undergraduate at Fordham, I did that same process. Even if you aren't a non graduate Fordham, I'm hoping I'll still be able to help you about the other graduate process throughout this video. So now some facts about Fordham are so in terms of size of the school, I'd say it's about small to medium class sizes, most of them around 15 30. I've had a seven person class ones, but what's good about those small class size that Fordham really cares about? The whole student? They really your professors. There's a small ratio so the professors air really able to help you. You could really connect with the professors in terms of class wise and their availability and also in the classroom. So if you love the city, Fordham is definitely a great place for you in terms of visiting the campus. So like I said, so Fordham has dual campuses, so I already knew what the Lincoln Center campus was like. I traveled there between the two campuses, So I really didn't need to schedule an official visit because I already kind of knew what the L. C campus was like. I really started really thinking about applying to graduate school, probably around junior year. So Fordham actually is a great that they have a dean there who actually really focuses just on doing the undergraduate program students. They're going to the graduate program for Fordham, so I really referenced him a lot as a source. Then that's kind of how I really found out about the program through him and realizing the process. So in terms of what I was looking for grad school experience was really similar experience that I had undergrad. So I loved Fordham Underground. It's really Fordham cares about the whole person. So it's really just that emphasis that people that students have that drive, but they also have that that caring for the whole person. So what made me select the program here at Fordham? So, like I said, Undergraduate, I love Fordham, So I really wanted to continue. So it's a pretty easy decision to continue my studies graduate program wise at Fordham. There are actually some really nice perks that Fordham provided for the undergraduate students going to the graduate program. Like, I really didn't need to consider going to any other school because Fordham really wanted to lock me in. So I really worked with him a lot, and he kind of kept me informed throughout the process. Also questions just about like what you experience undergrad. So I talked about my experience and really harped on what I loved about Fordham support for seeking out help from my applications. Like I said, Fordham had a specific dean working with students to help go from undergraduate graduate at the Fordham's level. So in terms of what admission officers value in applications and in my application personally, the way I felt I stood out was I really harped on the fact that I was an undergraduate at Fordham and I wanted to stay at the graduate level. So I just kind of talked about my love for Fordham, how I wanted to stay at the at Fordham. It's kind of corny, but that's really what it is for them is they treat you like family. So I really just talked about everything I loved about the undergrad experience and how I didn't even want to consider going to other schools. I really hit on the fact that I want to go to graduate school. I wanted to stay home, really and be part of those Jesuit family values and so that, I think, helped me stand out that I really harped on my story, which is that I wanted to continue not just graduate studies but graduate studies specifically at Fordham. So I think that's what really helped me stand out. I would tell you guys just really focus on what you want to go to grad school for, because I know some of you might just be doing it, because it's kind of just standard you want that master's degree. I always knew I wanted to do the five year accounting program, and I knew I wanted to stay at Fordham once I love the undergraduate experience. So I really focused on that narrative that I wanted to go for my masters to take the C P a exam to get the c p a credit and I want to do it at Fordham. So I really that was kind of the theme on my application. So really find why you want to go to grad school and just kind of use that as your theme for applying. So hopefully maybe I'll see you at Fordham in the coming months.
