Applicant must be a student who declares a major in biology, chemistry, or math while pursuing a pre-professional program in the health sciences. Applicant must be between the ages of 17 and 21 and enrolled in an accredited program in the field of biology, diving, ecology, marine environmental conservation, or research.

Applicant must be a full-time student at Viterbo University majoring in a biology-related field.

Applicant must be a legal U.S. resident over 18 years old who is enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in biology, chemistry, bio-chemistry, or related life science field. Minimum 3.0 GPA and official transcripts required. Resume, recommendations, and projects are optional.

Applicant must be an African-American or Hispanic student who holds a minimum of a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Awarded to applicants who intend to seek a Ph.D. degree in the disciplines of arts and sciences, mathematics, business, or engineering.

Applicant must have at least two years of undergraduate study completed. Graduating seniors enrolled in graduate program may apply.

Applicant must have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 and be in the upper half of their graduating class. Applicant must also provide an essay on major selection.

Applicant must have completed at least 96 credits, 60 of which must have been completed at East Stroudsburg University, and must have a minimum 3.5 GPA.

Applicant must demonstrate plans to pursue a career as a biology teacher.
