Applicants must be students at the University of Arizona in their junior or senior year. Students must be majoring in English or creative writing and demonstrate outstanding academics.

Applicant must have a minimum 3.3 GPA and a minimum combined SAT score of 1530 with a minimum critical reading score of 550 (composite ACT score of 23). Selection is based upon essay submission, interview with Department Chair, and letter of recommendation from a high school English teacher.
