Selection is based upon merit, past performance, originality and imagination of project, support of the department where the work is to be done, significance of the project, and financial need. Transcripts and endorsements required.

Applicant must be an Oklahoma resident, demonstrate financial need, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be a full-time student. Preference is given to petroleum and geological engineering majors.

Applicants must currently be enrolled in a geological science graduate program at an institution in the United States, Canada, Mexico or Central America. Applicants must also be members of the Geological Society of America (GSA).

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and a full-time student and rank in the top quarter of class. Preference is given to petroleum and geological engineering majors and then to chemical and mechanical engineering majors.

Applicant must be enrolled in specific major in master's or PhD program in North America. German language requirements might be applied.
