Selection is based upon financial need. Preference given to freshmen majoring in studio art, art history, new media design, music, musical theatre or theatre.

Applicant must be specializing in painting and preference will be given to the applicant who is in need of financial aid.

Applicant must have earned a minimum of 60 credit hours with a minimum 3.2 GPA in the major. Applicant must have attended Mary Washington for at least one academic year and must have plans to pursue a career in his or her major.

Applicant must not have completed his or her first year of graduate school and the fifth year of a five-year baccalaureate/master's degree is applicable. Applicant must demonstrate financial need and submit a FAFSA application.

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing education in the areas of fine arts or performing arts. Preference will be given to graduates from Lorain County high schools. FAFSA and Student Aid Report are required. Award amount is determined by committee.

Applicant must major in art. Scholarship is not for those majoring in video, film, performing arts or the culinary arts.
