Applicant must be a junior chemistry major at Hofstra University who has demonstrated academic achievement in organic chemistry.

Applicants must be enrolled as a freshman, undergraduate, graduate or doctoral student at an accredited college or university. Students must be pursuing a major in a science related field. Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in an environmental-related field including chemistry, chemical engineering, biology and environmental studies. Students must include a letter of intent describing their career path along with their other application materials.

Fellowship is given to foster interest in lupus erythematosus in the areas of basic, clinical, or psychological research under the supervision of an established investigator.

Applicant must attend the summer CCAP program at the school prior to entrance.

Applicant must have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 and be in the upper half of their graduating class. Applicant must also provide an essay on major selection.

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.
