Applicant must be accepted to the college and plan to participate in a music program.

Applicant must be an entering or transfer student (fall term entry only) who has completed the admissions application and has been accepted as a full-time student. Audition required.

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a degree in a music-related field at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Rising Sun High School who participated in band and will pursue post-secondary education in the music field. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

Applicant must be attending Berklee College of Music for the first time with an interest in music-writing. Required to submit three original compositions and written scores.

Applicant must be a classical instrumentalist, vocalist, and/or composer who is 18 years old or younger and have not yet entered college who have an interest in performing on From the Top. Exceptional musical achievement, financial need, academic achievement, and strength of character must be demonstrated.

Applicant must be a female U.S. citizen age 35 or over and must submit background and one or two scores of musical composition. Each score should have a performance time of 10-18 minutes. Compositions should not have previously won an award.

Applicant must be in need of financial aid and intend to major in music.

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and must be a leader in his/her school's or church's musical program.

Selection is based upon academic and artistic performance.

Applicant must be a full-time student who ranks in the top tenth of their class and has a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 2020. Talent applicants must audition or have portfolio.

Applicant must be a high school senior from the Merrimack Valley who is making music their life's vocation.
