Applicant must be a graduate of an Oregon high school who resides in Benton, Douglas, Jackson, Lane, Linn, Marion, or Yamhill County and will major in business management, mechanical engineering, performing arts, or visual arts at a public or nonprofit college or university. FAFSA and minimum 3.0 GPA required.

Applicant must be a graduating senior from New Castle High School who participated in extracurricular activities such as band, choir, or orchestra and will study music at a college or university. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Thornapple Kellogg high school who will pursue a major or minor in art or music. Financial need must be demonstrated.

Applicants must be Ph.D. candidates in an art history department in the U.S. who are working on dissertations about American visual arts history. All the Ph.D. requirements should be met except the dissertation before taking the fellowship. Selection is based upon academic merit and talent. Scholarship cannot be combined with other merit scholarships offered by the university.
