Applicant must be an economically/educationally disadvantage student who has been nominated by a member of the Congressional Black Caucus.

Award is based upon character, applicant's potential to be a leader and 'make a difference in the world', and upon academic performance, intellect, and accomplishments.

Applicant must be a nominee from Mundelein High School in Mundelein, IL. Recipient will be selected based upon academic qualifications, extracurricular participation, community involvement, service commitment, recommendations from two faculty members, and submission of an essay entitled, 'Alcohol and Driving: A Realistic Approach to Handling Friends Who Have Been Drinking.'

Applicant must be a high school senior who has participated in at least one full season during high school on a FIRST Robotics competition or FIRST Tech Challenge team.

Applicant must be a veteran who meets the university requirements, program will combine with existing VA benefits to cover full tuition expenses.

Applicant must be a high-achieving high school senior athlete. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Applicants must be able to show leadership withing school and community.
