Applicant must be in need of financial aid

Applicant must either be a second semester junior or a first semester senior

Preference is given to a mature applicant who is returning to school and wants to be become a teacher

Applicant must be from Pleasants County and surrounding areas and must have applied to Glenville State College.

Applicant must have financial need and show academic promise. Applicant must have participated in high school activities, such as extra-curricular, community service and church. Preference will be given to applicant from Roane and Ritchie counties, then Gilmer, Doddridge and Calhoun counties.

Applicant must be a full-time student at Glenville State College and be a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. Applicant must demonstrate the ideals of the Delta Zeta Sorority.

Applicant must be a high school graduate and the child of a long-time independent pulpwood or chip supplier to Westvaco. Applicant must come from a family that has suffered some type of adversity.

Applicant must be outstanding in science and math.

Applicant must rank in top quarter of class and demonstrate leadership abilities through extracurricular activities. Applicant must be a resident of West Virginia for at least two years prior to enrollment in college. Selection preference is given to an applicant who is a child of a Bell Atlantic employee.

Applicant must be a descendant of a veteran honorably discharged from the armed services of the United States. Selection preference is given to descendants from Gilmer County veterans who graduated from Gilmer County High School.

Applicant must demonstrate leadership abilities and be ready to enter the student internship program.

Applicant must be in good academic standing and be of exemplary character.
