Selection is based upon financial need. Preference given to freshmen majoring in studio art, art history, new media design, music, musical theatre or theatre.

Selection is based upon talent and potential in theatre and a review of audition or portfolio.

For music, award is based upon the audition for acceptance. For art, award is based upon a portfolio that must be presented to the department. For theatre, the award is dependent upon previous acting experience and a written statement. For dance, the award is based upon the audition for acceptance.

Applicant must be a full-time student who is enrolled in a minimum of seven hours of theater arts classes and who has a minimum 2.5 GPA. Financial need is required.

Applicant must be a full-time student and must audition or have a portfolio.

Applicant must have outstanding artistic talent. An on-campus audition is required.

Applicant must be an incoming freshman who has demonstrated leadership abilities and has the intent to major in the arts or humanities.

Applicant interested in acting must audition by performing two memorized contrasting excerpts from scripts of choice. Applicant interested in directing or technical theatre must submit a portfolio of past work.

Applicant must have demonstrated need for financial aid and be in good academic standing. Preference will be given to an applicant from Connecticut and then to another non-Virginia applicant. Applicant must have declared major.

Applicant must have talent and passion for dramatic performance and production. Audition and/or interview are required for eligibility.

Applicant must be a resident of Floyd, Giles, Montgomery, or Pulaski Counties, or from the City of Radford. Applicant must be pursuing a post-secondary degree in theatre or fine arts. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

Applicant must be enrolled in theatre arts. Applicant must audition in the fall.

Applicant must be talented, motivated, and have a desire to grow and excel in the world of theatre arts.
