Applicant must be a California resident who is a full-time college junior or senior at a publicly funded college or university in California. Applicant must be studying a water resources-related field or discipline.

Applicant must from Bakersfield, CA who is enrolled in an accounting program or have declared accounting as a major or area of concentration. Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and 3.25 GPA in accounting courses required.

Applicant must be one of the following: (1) a Cuesta Community College or Hancock Community College applicant who has applied to an accredited four-year college or university with a concentration in accounting or (2) a Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo sophomore or junior accounting student. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

Applicant must have a parent who is currently employed as a California strawberry fieldworker. Applicant must be a full-time student in a trade school, community college, four-year university, or graduate/professional program during the period for which scholarship is requested. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

Applicant must be a cancer patient/cancer survivor who is a U.S. resident enrolled in an accredited university or community college. Recipient must be willing to attend regional events associated with the scholarship awarded and available for selected interviews and/or media coverage.
