Applicant must be a graduating senior at Montrose County School, or a Montrose County School graduate attending Mesa State College, Montrose Campus. Applicant must be planning to attend a post-secondary institution in the fall of the year the scholarship is awarded. Community service and athletic involvement are required.

Applicant must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment with a declared major in a science-related field. Applicant must make a top 10 list of reasons why they think science is awesome and write a personal statement on how they plan to use their degree to further advance science in their field...

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is a high school senior or college student. Applicant must read 'China Road: A Journey into the Future of a Rising Power' and write a book report in less than 500 words.

Applicant must be a Colorado resident who is a first generation student or member of an underrepresented ethnic or racial minority with financial need. Must be enrolled in a two or four year Colorado college with a minimum 2.8 GPA. Essay under 1,000 words required.

Applicant must be graduating from a Colorado high school and pursuing a degree in engineering, math, or science at an accredited college/university. Must have minimum 3.7 GPA, 1800 SAT score, and 28 ACT score. Transcript, three recommendations, and personal essay required.
