Applicant must pursue a career as a strength and conditioning coach, be a member of NSCA for at least one year, be in good standing at institution, and working as a strength and conditioning coach in the school's athletic department.

Applicant must be a legally blind male who has participated in a USABA sports programs and is enrolled/enrolling at a two-/four-year, technical institution, or university as a full-time student. Selection is based upon academic records, involvement in extracurricular and civic activities. Essay, transcript and references are required.

Applicant must be a credit-qualifying parent of a dependent undergraduate student whose financial aid awards do not fully cover the cost of attendance.

Applicant must be a talented writing student who has been accepted into the Prague program and who wants to study in Prague.

Applicant must maintain a 3.0 GPA for undergraduate and 3.5 GPA for graduate.

Applicant must be an undergraduate student in the religious studies program. Academic merit and financial need must be demonstrated.

Applicant must be an undergraduate with financial need who has taken a non-traditional path to higher education.

Applicant must have had experience working with people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds for one session of the Summer Writing Program. Selection is based upon exceptional literary merit, promise, and financial need.

Applicant must be chosen to participate in a one-week intensive residential summer program on the University of Denver campus (program provided at no charge to participants). At the end of the program, two exemplary participants will receive the award.
