Applicant must be a low-income single parent (man or woman) who is seeking to upgrade their potential career skills by returning to school. Preference is given to parents currently or previously receiving state aid, or those who have been previously incarcerated.

Applicant must be a woman, living in Newport County, who is in need of financial assistance in order to pursue education or job training. Preference given to highly motivated women seeking further education or training to become self-supporting.

Applicant must be a minority student, who is a Rhode Island resident, entering his/her senior year at an accredited college, with plans to pursue a career in banking.

Applicants related by birth or marriage to current Club members are ineligible.

Applicant must be able to demonstrate that s/he has overcome a serious obstacle in his/her academic path. Recipients will receive the award upon graduation the following year, with proof of acceptance at an accredited degree-conferring higher education institution.

Applicant must be a graduate student in arts education who has been a Rhode Island resident for at least five years. Preference is given to visual artists, however, writers, actors and composers interested in teaching are also encouraged to apply. RISD students or graduates are not eligible for this fellowship.

Applicant must be a high school freshman, sophomore or junior from Providence, Pawtucket, E. Providence or Central Falls. His/her art teacher must recommend student.

Applicant must be an outstanding transfer student. Selection is based on academic performance, rigor of the prior curriculum, and the amount of credits completed.

Awards based on SAT/ACT scores, class rank, high school transcripts, and extracurricular involvement. Applicant must demonstrate leadership and potential for making a lasting contribution to the community.

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Applicant must have a minimum 2.75 GPA. Selection is based upon GPA and essay submission.
