Applicant must be the State Auditor at Girls State.

Applicant must demonstrate reasonable academic promise and financial need. Applicant must be a student who is effectively dealing with a social problem.

Applicant must be a student of Black Hills State University or a Spearfish High School senior who plans to attend BHSU.

Applicant must be a business major who is a graduate of one of the following South Dakota cities: Hill City, Belle Fourche, Rapid City, Gillette, Lead, Sturgis, Custer, Edgemont, Hot Springs, Newcastle, or Spearfish.

Applicant must be a freshman majoring in English or theatre.

Applicant must be a graduate of a rural high school of less than 250 students.

Applicant must be a high school graduate who has not previously attended a post-secondary institution. Applicant must be in the upper third of their class, and have been admitted to Black Hills State University. Application is made during the senior year of high school. Award amount depends on ACT scores.

Applicant must be a graduate of Spearfish High School, Belle Fourche High School, Sturgis High School, or Lead/Deadwood High School. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

Applicant must demonstrate financial need and scholarship potential.

Applicant must be the child of faculty, staff, or administration at Black Hills State University.

Applicants must come from a community served by the company.
