Applicant must be enrolled full-time in the College of Arts and Letters or the College of Humanities and Public Affairs. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA (minimum 3.5 GPA in political science). Preference is given to a student from southwest Missouri with a rural background.

Applicant must receive a number one rating in the district Junior Academy of Science competition. Selection is based upon class rank, test scores, and a paper.

Applicant must have a minimum 3.6 GPA or rank in the top fifth of class and have a minimum composite ACT score of 26 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1170).

Applicant must have a minimum 3.8 GPA or rank in the top tenth of class and have a minimum composite ACT score of 24 or 25 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1090).

Applicant must rank in the upper half of class and demonstrate leadership in the minority community through involvement in school or community organizations.

Applicant must graduate from a high school in Barry, Barton, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Howell, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, Mc-Donald, Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Polk, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas, Vernon, Webster, or Wright counties.
