Hello, Welcome. I'm in the middle of Amherst which is right next to Hampshire College. This is the bus stop, lookit— there goes the bus, So this is probably where you get off the bus and it's only like 10 minutes. So I'm gonna go take you on a tour so you know where to go. All right? Hello, we're just walking by, we got this place... that's the first place I ever ate, in Amherst on my tour. So I wanted to point that out, it's some great food, it is really good. I got the enchilada plate— delicious, highly recommend. So here we are. This is a little Amherst like gift shop but specifically for Amherst College which is across the street from here actually. But I wanted to point out at this place...well this place is cool but this is the place I'm pointing out right here: Fresh Side. I'm going in right now to get myself some mochi— I'll be right back. Okay I got myself some thai iced tea and I got some mochi which I'm gonna eat later. But here you're not here to see my face. You're here to see what Amherst has to offer. This place right here, Oriental Flavor is the best bang for your buck. Great Asian cuisine. It's great. So reliable. Uh scallion pancakes for the win! Sorry, I gotta get really close because I got my mask on. Woo! We're waiting to cross the road. I want to point down this street down there. We got Amherst Coffee, great coffee. Very good. And we have Amherst Cinema (we're crossing the street, Got to be careful), look at where the straw's pointing: that's that's Amherst Coffee right there. It's very good. I highly I highly recommend, highly recommends. Alright we're coming up to another cafe, very popular for doing school work during the day. It's called The Works because they got the Works. It's a very inventive name as you can tell now there's this like little puppy over here, these little stairs next to it and if you get on these stairs there's a used bookstore and a boba place and there's a ton of boba places down here. It's got like, so make sure you explore all the nooks and crannies because there's stuff everywhere. Like look look at all this stuff across the street. We got we have so much stuff and I'll explain some of these places when we get there. Look at where we are: CVS for all your needs, all of them medicinal hair dyes because everybody knows you're gonna be dying your hair. I thought I'd take this little opportunity just to talk to you about all of the different options that there are at Hampshire, in Amherst. So, Amherst is like, like I said at the beginning, it's like 15 minutes away from Hampshire. Uh like seven minutes if you drive your own car and there are a ton of cafes that you can sit in and you can do all your work. there. There are a ton of boba tea places, specifically, there's three of them varying levels of expense up to you. Are there some great food places which we're going to get to? Some pizza places, Some bars. Uh only 21 folks gotta be 21. Uh There's a Pita Pocket which I'm going to show you because it's so good and there's a pasta place, oh, the best one Insomnia Cookies! And they do deliver my friends, they DO deliver to Hampshire's campus right there, right there. That's the Pita Pocket place just off the corner of Main street. When you're walking back down, you go in there and you're standing in line and the lines are long and they just hand you free falafel while you're waiting. Falafel. Get all the falafel folks. Guys, I'd like to take a moment to talk about something very serious. We don't want to confront our fears, but just in case, just in case it happens to you on Main Street, it's right there. Can't miss it. Oh what what's this fancy place? We're walking up on, what could this be? oh my, look at that. It's the fanciest boba place in town, folks. It's like $8 a cup. It's a lot. But it's good, it's good stuff. Uh So this is Bistro; they're hiring, they're hiring; by email. Yeah, they're hiring if you're coming next fall, apply. I know this is what you need typewriters and computers. Yeah. Yeah. I know. Oh no, guys. I'm in a spooky alleyway! Ahhhhh Just kidding. It's right next to Amherst, uh, Antonio's. Antonio's pizza, THE pizza place, $1 cheese slices on Fridays after midnight. Very important. But go down the alleyway, you have to do it. It's not even a big deal, but you gotta. Looikit— everyone's hiring. Everyone is hiring. Now for all of you who don't want to go to any of the uh awesome places. There's also this equally awesome place. I gotta cut that out. I can't swear on videoSUBWAY! Okay guys. I know I've been kind of random and not important this entire time. But this is actually really important. Amherst Books. This is where you're gonna go to get your books for classes. This, this place, they ship them here. It's really important. So I'm going to show you. So we started down there, down there. Okay, That's where we started. You walk up the street up to here and then you cross the road. It's next to the Subway. You can't miss the Subway. Come to Amherst Books. This is where your books will be delivered for classes—very important! Yeah, Pasta. This is a place that I went with my friends, freshman year. We would go all the time, all 12 of us and we'd sit and we have a great time. And this is the creme de la creme. I told you, creme. de. la. creme. They also serve milk and ice cream... Insomnia Cookies and they do deliver— four in the morning!— to Hampshire. Uh, we all know why you want cookies at 4:00 AM. Let's just leave it there. So you might have thought I was joking when I said we have three boba places, but this is the third one. Okay, But this one actually has a food place attached that serves like the best fried chicken, like korean fried chicken and the absolute best egg rolls. Like you have absolutely delicious. They're so good. And I would SWEAR, if I was able to on these videos, because that's how good it is. And last but not least: as we all know, the biggest part of the college experience is ramen. But if you are sick of those $1 ramen packets, you can buy at Walmart, come here! Kaiju. It's at the end of the street, at the lights, stop. You got to take a... depends on where you're coming from. It's around Main Street, you'll find it. Okay, just look it up. Kaiju. Kaiju ramen. Very good, good ramen places. I'm taking, I'm taking a video for prospective Hampshire students, do you want to say hi? Yeah, sure. Hi. I just met it. I just ran into a Hampshire student in Amherst because where else are you gonna go? Well, that's where I'm supposed to go. Northampton? That place is far away, much further. Exactly. Thank you. Have a good day, Sean. Uh Hey, look it— Cthulhu. Cthulhu! Complimentary gift wrap.
