Hi! My name is Casey, and I am currently a masters of marketing student at Vanderbilt Owen School of Management Class of 2021. I'm going to tell you a little bit about my journey to Vanderbilt, as well as some general info about the program and application advice in this video. So I'm originally from Florida and was an accounting major for 2.5 years, a school in South Carolina. However, I switched my major halfway through my junior year to marketing and realized I want some more experience before I started my career. So I started looking at graduate schools. Vanderbilt really stuck out to me, and there's a few reasons for that. One is the opportunity to live in Nashville. You're not gonna find a more fun city. You always have the opportunity to explore something new with your friends, whether it's checking out new restaurant or just walking around Centennial Park, who doesn't love a good live music? Second was the curriculum. You can gain experience in anything from digital marketing to marking research brand management to advertising. There's a course in virtually every facet of marketing. Third is the opportunity to solve real life marketing problems. We get to do this in a few ways. One is brand week, a week long case competition where were paired up in teams and given riel world problems from real life. Cos we then brainstorm solutions and then present these solutions to the decision makers. Second is through internships. I wanna provides multiple internship opportunities for students and make sure that they have time in their class schedule to apply what they're learning in the classroom to real life marketing problems. Finally, some application tips I recommend reaching out to our student ambassadors, which you can find on our website right here. I do know a few of the essays are optional, but I do recommend writing to all of the problems that apply to you. Thanks so much for watching this video. Good luck on your graduate school journey, and I hope that this has helped. You gave some further information on Vanderbilt and Mark program
