My name is Abigail, and I'm so excited to be making videos for you guys on campus rail. I am from Chelmsford, Massachusetts, but I come to school at R I T, which is the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York, On I'm in my third year here, and I study nutrition and dietetics with a minor in psychology. One of my favorite things to do is actually to run eso all through high school, I was on the cross country and track team and now at our I t m. Also part of the cross country and track team here is Well, we're a division three school s. So I run on the division three team here, which is so much fun. It definitely takes up a lot of my free time, but I would not want it any other way. I just love everyone on my team so much practicing with everyone. Also at our I t and part of the Student Dietetic and Nutrition Association that's one of the academic clubs here on campus. Specifically, ours is focused on anyone who's interested in the field of nutrition. So for that club actually run the Instagram count as well. I want to other things like volunteer work, meet and greets with other dietitians from around the area, mentoring opportunities for younger students and things like that. So I love being part of that club and also at Alrighty, I am a brick city ambassador. So I got to give towards to the perspective students, which is so much fun. When I first came and visited our I t. It was the summer before my senior year of high school. I came to an event called College and Careers, where I got to actually spend the night and living in the resident halls on. Then the following day, there was a ton of opportunities for all of the perspective students that came to the event to take a bunch of like classes about various topics. Um, kind of get to know some of the professors at R I t get to know the campus a little bit, which was really fun. That kind of gave me the first look at R i t. And when I came, I really liked how welcoming everyone felt here. So that was Ah, big factor that brought me to our i t I knew if I came here, I would be happy here because everyone just seemed so nice. Um, just like a really nice place to be another thing that brought me to our I t was being part of the cross country team. I knew when I was looking into colleges, that was a factor I wanted to consider. Eso that did bring me here as well is that I got to be part of the team here. Um, and lastly, the other major part that brought me here is actually my program. My program is fairly small here, but we have such incredible professors were also ranked very well for the nutrition program. So that was another big factor that brought me here. Students that have graduated from my program from our I t have gone on to be very successful. So I knew that this would be a good place for me. I hope you enjoyed my video and I can't wait to keep making videos for you guys.
