My name is Anne Wang and I make her second year at the University of Vermont Go Catamounts And in this campus, real video. I just wanted to introduce myself, talk a little bit about the school and the location, and maybe see if you wanted to see what other videos I have to make about the university and Vermont Burlington area in general. As I said earlier, I am a current second year at here at the University of Vermont. I am in the College of Arts and Sciences as a biology major and a gender studies minor on the pre med track, although you don't really have to declare if you're on the pre med track, that's just where I'm thinking. I want to take the education that I have here outside of the classroom. I'm involved in research at the medical school. I am involved in a village mentoring program called Dream that works to close the opportunity gap for kiddos living in the low income housing in the community. Then I'm also involved in the Student Government Association. As the chair of the Club Affairs Committee, I also forgot to mention that I'm also in the honors college. So the University of Vermont is located in Burlington, Vermont, which I, in my opinion, is one of the best locations in Vermont. For a little bit of background, I forgot to mention this. Bm walking across UVM campus on I'll talk a little bit. I think in my last video about why I actually ended up choosing to come to you. B m. Having lived my whole life here, but from a little bit, maybe, of a biased opinion. Burlington is one of the best locations, if not the best location in Vermont. Um, the university specifically is located just about 10 minutes from downtown Burlington, where you'll find AH, lot of really great nightlife food on adventures and shopping there. There's also Lake Champlain in the waterfront right there where I have seen some of the most beautiful sunsets I've seen in my entire life. Then you're also just a short car ride away from some of the best skiing, um, in New England, as well as some of the most beautiful hikes and nature spots and swimming holes, um, that you'll be able to find in Vermont and in New England in general. That's also not to say that there's not a lot of beautiful nature spots that are walking distance from campus as well. Um, a lot of other great spots where you're able to just explore and get to know Vermont more as a community in Berlin and the Burlington area as well to talk a little bit about UVM, we're about where a mid sized university off about 10,000 undergraduate students. We also do have a graduate school and a medical center or a medical school as well. We are a larger research institution that consists of seven smaller schools, and those include the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences theme. As you can see, listing off those seven college is there's a lot of opportunities for you to explore new avenues of studies and really immerse yourself in a diverse curriculum and course material on just speaking. Also about those colleges you can be undecided about and five of those seven colleges. So there's really an opportunity for you to come here if you already know what you want to do or if you're still exploring. So this is just a little bit about myself about school in general. I am really looking forward to have you all learn more about the university as you watch through my videos, learn about Vermont and kind of all of the amazing opportunities that you could have here and really grow as, ah, young adult and a college student, you know, taking that first step of living out on your own in the real world. I, I really hope that you enjoy coming along with me learning more about school on.
