The first piece that I'd like to cover is what it's like to have a dog during a full time NBA program. Came back to Owen or came back to Nashville um you know after living in houses with backyards and everything for the last eight years or so. So adjusting to the apartment was one significant change in and of itself. Having added a dog during covid to my household, um it was definitely another consideration that I had to look into. So I have a Belgian melon law, she was a rescue that I got um about a year and a half ago uh just right after the shutdowns and everything happened and you know, I was I was really excited because at the time I had a big fenced in yard and you know, was able to do everything that I would need to do to keep a high energy dog dog worn out. I also didn't know exactly, you know how long my days would be, how my schedule would be set up. My my academic schedule was actually set up where I had four classes on monday and Wednesday and one class on Tuesday, no classes on thursday. Um you know, just school admin type events on Fridays with that understanding. Um you know, I kind of tried to prep his best like good to minimize how much running back and forth. I would have to do uh definitely considered having a dog walker come over on monday and Wednesday or or somebody become checked in the middle of the day if I couldn't break away for lunch time. So that that's definitely, you know, it's something that you might wanna think about or prepare for, you know, as far as pets go, I couldn't imagine life without my dog and especially um, you know, the comfort that she brings to me during the more stressful elements of business school.
