Hey, it's Blair from Bloomsburg University and today I'm going to be talking about clubs sports. We have varsity club and new mural varsity being the most competitive and Inter Merrill being the least competitive. It could be a great fit for somebody who would like to continue on a sport that they did in high school. Or maybe try out a new sport at a more competitive level than in your morals. So you're interested in a club sport? Where do you begin? So you need to get some information at the activities fair, mainly in the fall semester. If you missed it or you need more information, you can go to the club in your morals office in the student rec center. You need to fill out two forms the code of conduct and the assumption of risk and release of liability forms. These needs to be filled out and approved before your first day of practice. The exact board of the club will then contact you about what times and where your practices. You also must register on your league's Web site in order to be considered a partisan spent. So this is the Bloomsburg University Club sports website. This is where you would go to get all of your news and updates about the club sports and their achievements, as well as the listing of the teams that you could be a part of. So this is the U. R L. To the club sports link. These are also the listing of the teams that we have for you to be a part of. So right after I transferred, I joined right in the fall semester. I am the treasurer, and therefore I am on the exact bored. So we have no coaches, just the elected executive board members. So it's a great opportunity to build leadership among your peers especially, and build planning and budgeting skills. So we do get a club budget from the university, but we must fund raise for a lot of our expenses. Specifically, we play in the National Club Softball Association league and we play other teams such a Saint Joseph's University from Philadelphia, Ah, Penn State University and Rutgers University. The stats are recorded in our league, and we also have a playoff bracket opportunity. I practice and we hang out outside of practices well, so it's a great way to meet people. Cup sports overall are great fit for students who want to continue to play a sport competitively but still have time for other clubs and organizations. The best part is, honestly, the friends that you make, because you do spend a lot of time together.
