My name is morgan and I'm a sophomore in college major from Northampton pa. When I was going through the college admission process in high school, the first thing I would look at with schools was obviously their ecology and environment, science department. That's the main thing that was concerning me with all the schools I looked at and when I looked into Susquehanna as I was really impressed because they have a lot of cool research opportunities at the freshwater Research Institute. I had an internship over the summer which was really cool and I talked to some of the professors and they were all really nice and they seemed really dedicated to their work. That was a big factor for me when I was applying to schools. The second thing that led me to apply to Susquehanna was their swim program. I swam in high school and I definitely wanted to continue that in college. After looking into their program here, I was really impressed by that too and I could definitely see myself being a part of it and I really like the team atmosphere and actually one of my high school teammates swims here. So she would tell me all the time about the team and practices and stuff like that. So that really impressed me to one experience that I had, that really influenced my decision to enroll here was on an accepted students day. I actually met one of my current roommates on that accepted students day and we were supposed to attend a class together, but at end up getting canceled and the person who was taking us around and showing us everywhere, she was really great and she took us to Starbucks and answered all the questions that we had and that made me feel really welcomed and appreciated. Also I remember um I was on the tour with my dad and I remember telling him that I could see myself here realistically and he said, definitely keep that in mind when you're looking for other schools and making your decision. Because if you can really see yourself here, that's a good sign. So those also really influenced my decision to come here.
