Hi, my name is Kelsey and I'm a sophomore at texas State University, studying public relations. I'm originally from lubbock texas, which is about seven hours away from san Marcus. Let me tell you, I was originally planning on going further. I wanted to go out of state which would have been about a 13-hour drive from home. I was ready for it until one morning when my mom and I were actually on our way to a wedding and we decided just to come to texas state on a whim. I came on campus and I was absolutely in love everything from the squirrels to the stairs and the river at school. There's not a single day that goes by that I am not beyond happy that I decided to come to texas state that morning. It's called the Enchanted Forest and it's a bunch of ponds that are surrounded by hiking biking, running trails. It's where you can catch some of the best sunsets in all of san Marcus. Mhm This is a squirrel that would not leave me alone until I gave him a bit of my bagel. This is a squirrel that you know, I gave a bite of my bagel and he really seemed to enjoy it. That's where I spend most of my time because as a public relations major, most of my classes are in old Main and isn't it the most beautiful building you've ever seen? And these are some of my closest friends that I've met while I've been at texas state the friendships that I've made here. The conversations are more fun and I just feel like this is the place where I'm meant to be.
