This basically allows me to complete my undergrad and my masters courses during the final year of my undergrad and the first year of my Masters. So before Thunderbird and before my undergraduate degree, I was studying at one of the local community colleges, and there I honestly really didn't know what I was going to dio. I was going back and forth a lying in state and honesty and just really weighing my options on. Think Arizona Theis experience WAAS life changing, and it was something that I talked to my advisor about a lot because E told him I wanted to be in this type of work. I wanted to be doing something that's connected to people around the world and really creating change for some of these global issues. I talked to him some more about it, and he eventually recommended thunder. He said that this is a school for anyone that was looking to become a global here. So he set up a meeting with the advisor for the underground program and the recruiter and I was blown away. Um, I remember just going through the website, and even at orientation, I was meeting so many amazing people stories. I was looking up different Thunderbirds and some of the alumni, and it was just a spectacular, um, spectacular school on the global mindedness off. It is what has led me to pursue my master's degree at Thunderbird as well. I think the other thing that really led me to choose Thunderbird was people throughout my undergraduate degree. Now during my graduate degree, it's like now you're surrounded with these amazing human beings. One day in class, you could be put in a group with somebody from China, somebody from Indonesia and somebody from Ireland, and that's your group. Thio attack a problem in creative I getting strategy, which is just great knowledge having great learning. You're also just learning about the world in your day to day conversations. I think to me, Thunderbird was a way to travel without having to ever leave my city. So the application process for anyone interested in going into Thunderbird is really about your essay for me. I had to write an essay, and it was basically, like, right about how you are global minded or about time when you really show a cross cultural communication and knowledge. So I actually about the refugee resettlement Agency. More than that demonstrated how I learned to appreciate other cultures that I demonstrate how we learn from these experiences, Um, several other parts of my essay during my undergrad degree. I studied abroad, So I spent a week in Dominican Republic and, um, two months in Argentina, learning about human rights, and that was a huge part of my application as it, too. I really stated how he's experience has taught me so much more than any classroom ever could. I emphasized howeglobe being globally minded and understanding the world brings light to concept springs, understanding things you never really could beat put together before. So I think when it came to the application process, well, there is an optional scholarship option and you can write an essay. Basically talk about your financial need and why, and you would be a valuable number two Thunderbird. I personally am a first generation college students, and I didn't necessarily. I didn't have the family resource is or the funds to pay for my degree and Thunderbird. So the scholarship portion waas vital to my application. I basically broke down all of my plans when it came thio fiscal budgeting and how I would make it through Thunderbird. I also really stressed in both the Thunderbird scholarship essay and the other scholarship essay that they give us why I would be a value thunder break. I talk about how I wanted to get us involved in different clubs is possible, how I believe in being globally minded and being there for my peers and just overall creating and building that community here at this school. I think that the way you stand out in your application is by showing how you value diversity, how you see the world and how you see the importance of everybody. You show that you were actually Thunderbird and your mental throughout the application process. Just also remember that, you know, you know, one type of person to be a school. It's about creating a community of global mind. So just put yourself out there, put your best foot forward and remember, remember, this is a place that would be like to have.
