Hi. My name is Terrence Blue sick, and I'm a second year MGM student at the Thunderbird School of Global Management in downtown Phoenix. For right now, Thunderbirds campus is in this building. Uh, it's not gonna be for very long, though. In about seven months from now, at the beginning of the next school year, Thunderbird is going to be opening up their brand new campus, which is located a couple blocks away in downtown Phoenix. I'm really envious that I'm gonna be graduated by the time that that campus opens. Uh, let me tell you a little bit about Thunderbird. So Thunderbird is business school way have undergraduate programs. So pretty much all spectrums of the higher education, um, landscape way have them here, a Thunderbird. What makes Thunderbird a little bit different from other business schools is you know, it's kind of like an MBA. We study finance, we study marketing, we study, uh, you know, business strategy. All these things that would study in an MBA but way also study them from, ah, global perspective. So we get all the business stuff, and then we also talk about how those business aspects are impacted by the global economy. As you probably know, in an increasingly globalized world, international business is becoming even more prevalent than it ever has been before. Um, the curriculum that we study a Thunderbird is very timely, very relevant. We even study about the fourth Industrial Revolution. So we study about, like, the newest cutting edge ways to use technology to make a business more efficient, more profitable, and just better all around. So the reason why I came to Thunderbird is you know, I always had the desire to travel. So I went over there without knowing very much about the country all alone and just had the adventure, the experience of a lifetime. So I had a team of 11 teachers from all over the world that, you know, I was in charge of training and mentoring, and I was also debate coach and a curriculum developer and like made videos for their marketing departments, training videos, all kinds of stuff. Being over there and working, as you know, a business professional for the first time in my life, it made me realize, like some of the educational gaps that I had. I mean, I did really great at my job, but it would have been much easier, and I would have been way more effective if I would have had some formal training. So when I came back from Korea and, you know, moved back to Arizona, I knew that I wanted to go back to grad school and study something business related. So I started looking at all these different business schools. You know, all these schools that I was researching were really great. You know, I would have learned so much, but Thunderbird was the only one that combined the business side and the international side. It was just I knew right away it was gonna be the perfect school for me. Plus, I did have a friend from high school that went here, and he just talked it up. So I I kind of trusted him and decided to do my due diligence and look into the school because he recommended it so highly. You know, I had a little bit of imposter syndrome when I joined Thunderbird. I'm not gonna lie because, you know, it is a pretty prestigious school. It's the number one global business school in the country. Arizona State University is the number one rated school for innovation in the country. So I did have a little bit of imposter syndrome, To be honest, I was like I have never studied business. You know, I'm not a I'm not a business guy. So you know what am I doing it? You know, this amazing global business school. As soon as I got here on campus, as soon as I started talking to other T birds, all of that worry was washed away. Because everybody here, a Thunderbird has something in common. Our student body, my student body in my class has, you know, something like 40 or 50 countries represented in one class of 200 something students. Every time we do a project or an assignment or have a class, you're going to see people from all over the world speaking different languages, talking about different foods from around the world what they do in their home countries. You're gonna make so many friends and learn so many things about the world that you never even expected. So I can't talk highly enough about Thunderbird. I'm enjoying my experience so far, and I know you'll enjoy yours as well.
