Japanese Gardens with Taisei

The East-West Center Japanese Garden (officially the Seien Japanese Garden) is a hidden, tranquil oasis located behind Jefferson Hall at the Imin International Conference Center on the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa campus. Designed by renowned landscape architect Kenzo Ogata and completed in 1963, the garden was created to symbolize the cooperative enterprise and cross-cultural bridge between the East and the West.
