So what are some of the program's strengths? Um, I guess, you know, starting right at the top, we have absolutely amazing faculty, these people are experts in their respective fields. They are supportive and they are invested in resident education in our improvement in the operating room and ultimately our success as general surgeons. Um, and I absolutely can attest to that. Um, you know, these attendings care about us and they get us involved, you know, from day one, I was operating, I think we started on July 1st, I was operating in the, operating on July 4th, so, you know, they're handing us the scalpel, they're handing us the bovie and we're really getting to participate um, in appropriate level cases. The other thing that I wanted to talk about is the culture of University of Michigan and I think, you know, one of the things that they told us from day one of orientation is load the boat and I think that that is absolutely true and is something that um, they didn't just espouse during orientation, but it's reinforced, you know, throughout internship year. Um, and I'm assuming beyond as well, um, they let you know what are the numbers to call um, when you're in trouble, the chiefs make it known that not only are you able to text them, but they expect you to text or to call them if you need them. They're accessible. This is true for the fellows attendings even offer you their phone numbers as well in the event that you need to contact them. And so I just, you know, you feel really supportive. Residency is hard, internship is like drinking out of a fire hose. And I think that um, you know, having all the support that you need kind of right at your fingertips, um, is super helpful.
