Hey everyone, my name is Steven, I'm one of the general surgery residents at the University of Michigan Hospitals. I'll be talking a little bit about what I like to do outside of the hospital and what there is to do in downtown Ann Arbor. So first of all I think Ann Arbor and Michigan in general is very beautiful in the summertime and so a lot of my co-interns or co-residents and I really like to just take advantage of the weather. So we've been tubing down the river, we've gone to a lot of restaurants, beer gardens, anything that involves outdoors we typically like to do. Sometimes there's barbecues, sometimes there's get-togethers and so I really enjoyed that aspect. Ann Arbor is a very, very cute town and everything is very, very walkable and so a lot of the times I'll just be walking around or going to a coffee shop or even studying at some of the little cafes that they have there. I think some of my favorites, one of the chains is called Sweetwater Coffee and then another one I really like is Dozer Coffee, which is a new one that's on the west side of town. The food here is pretty good too. Some of my favorites, one that's very close by to my home is called The Boro and they have really, really good wood-fire oven pizza and really good formal dining. Other than that, I really like this place called Mani Osteria, which is Italian. Frita Batidos is really good for some good Cuban food aswell.
