Osborne Chapel came all the way from England!
"The Clarice L. Osborne Memorial Chapel was moved stone by stone from the village of Sproxton, England, to serve as the spiritual center of the university." < straight from the Baker website. The chapel is a really unique part of Baker's recent history, Lady Margaret Thatcher, former British prime minister, dedicated the chapel in 1996! Very cool. Just saying. Every Thursday at 11:00am there is an optional service for students to attend with free lunch afterword.
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
That little tiny building over there is our chapel on the chapel is really cool. It is originally from Sprock SED in England, and they disassembled it brick by brick and brought it to Baker's campus in the nineties. I'll give you a little bit more history when we step inside. It was uprooted from sparks in England and disassembled brick by brick and brought to Baker's campus. Ous, I mentioned earlier, and we have chapel services here every Thursday. You don't get fined if you don't go nothing like that. There's no class during that time, and most groups and things won't have you meet then so that you have the option to go to Chapel. If that's something that you would be excited about, there's also free lunch afterwards, which is really fun.
