Gianna Shows Old Main- NCC's First Landmark
Old Main is where NCC started...literally. Built in 1871, Old Main was the entirety of NCC. Classes, offices, the radio station and one bathroom for five stories worth of people! Today, it serves as the hub for multiple offices for staff and students including: Admissions, Student Affairs, Financial Aid, Academic Affairs and more.
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
Originally, this is where all college classes took place. So all of the classes were on the first, second, third, fourth and fifth floors. There's actually only one bathroom in the building, so everybody on the first, second, third, fourth and fifth floors had to go all the way down the first floor to use the bathrooms. Northcentral originated in eighteen seventy one. So ever since sun, our campus has grown significantly. So we have a little quiet area behind here as well used for events, orientation sessions for first year students as well as a community event. I wouldn't say this is a hidden gem because it's very apparent. This is like our signature on, like, emails, logos and postal mail that you'll get before you come to North Central. So the historical building, it's very beautiful.
