So who now? The school has asked that I don't record anything in the rec center because of, like, for privacy, people don't like to be sweating and, uh, you know, swimming gross on camera. Right now I am on the roof of the rec center or it's not the roof. It's the it's There's like a terrorists area. It's absolutely gorgeous appear if you don't have paper and it's not raining that it's a great place to come to your homework and chill out. As far as the actual rec center goes, when I'm standing on top of I was a lifeguard there, my freshman year and the aquatics program is spectacular, and they have a lot of I say, um, too much. They have a lot of pro LGBT Q plus type stuff that there's big parties and it's very body positive. There are women and children swim days so that if anyone feels unsafe, you know, maybe like being part naked with a group. Men, Uh, that is an opportunity for women who feel like that. Women and non men, identifying people who feel like that to have a safe space, you know, enjoy the pool. There's a spectacular cardio room that was just so They have an indoor track, along with a bunch of different machines that you can run on like the Stairmaster, the elliptical and whatnot. I don't know if you can tell by my scrawny legs, but that's no. If you're in, if you want to get involved with stuff like this, it's not something I did. Also through the rec center, there's something really cool Called the outdoor program on the outdoor. The I went on a rafting trip once, and it was I thought I was gonna go on some half ass kind of like school adventure, you know, No. The rafting trip was gosh darn intense. I, like, did A month and a half long backpacking trip through Alaska. Don't underappreciate the outdoor program at Portland State University. What else about the rec center? They do great with public outreach, and I guess like PR there. Very well branded around here, they're open from around eight and ten. Oh, so this is the new business building right here. Uh, if you're if you're trying to decide between Pete, Portland State and somewhere else and it comes down to the rec center, the rec center here is really spectacular, even if just for on below me. You can be, like, jogging and have this view, So it's kind of earth.
