The University of Florida has a very wide array of clubs (over 1000) and that includes athletic and academic clubs. Some of the academic clubs include design teams. Design teams design, build, and compete their piece with other schools across the country. Some of the design teams on campus include Design, Build, Fly (an airplane club), Gator motorsports (F1 Racecar), and even Concrete Canoe (building a canoe out of concrete).

So you know how academic advisers always urging you to join not only athletic clubs but also academic clubs? Well, here at U F. We have design teams and I'm actually in design team, where we design an airplane. We build it and then we fly it and compete with it at competitions. It's pretty cool, and I'd like my experience there so far. It's called Gator Motor Sports, where they literally design and build a Formula One racecar, and they even race eight competitions. If I'm not mistaken, we have won nationals for Gator Motor Sports quite a few times.
