Dating culture & the inside of the hfac

One thing BYU is definitely known for is the "dating culture" on campus. I don't know what it is, but a lot of people come down joking about pursuing the "Mrs. Degree" (like my roommate Kaela did!), poking fun at the stigma surrounding dating here on campus. We will also see some of the plaza outside the JKSB, as well as the inside of the HFAC (my FAVORITE building by far <3).

The Joseph Smith Building is a building that ALL students spend time in, since it is the main building for all religion classes on campus! We all have to take religion classes at BYU, and the JSB is a beautiful building in the middle of a really grassy area that people love to spend time in!

Scholarships are tricky to come by freshman year, but not impossible! BYU Is relatively inexpensive, and takes outside scholarships and pell-grant! After your freshman year it's much easier to get scholarships!

Lecture Halls on BYU campus range from around 50 people to well over 500 people since there's just so many students at BYU! Lecture classes are a way of life since most GEs are in this setting, so if that's not what you like, that might be something to think about!

The Harold B. Lee Library extends two stories underground, and 4 above! The HBLL is enormous, with enough study space for tons of students and lots of special collections inside! THere's also a Family History Lab/Library within with tons of microfilm readers, and a highly guarded special collections area as well!

This library is huge! Not even a 10 minute video could show you all the cool things about this place, but here's some highlights: A family-friendly study room for students with kids, a designated snack zone, media center with movie viewing rooms and recording booths, a family-history and genealogy lab, study rooms, a 3D printing lab, Special collections, and MUCH more. What better place to study till 2 AM during finals week?!

Byu's student athletic building!

Students have access to a great on-campus gym with tons of basketball courts, racquetball, cycling classes, and a huge swim and dive pool! The RB is a great place if you love to stay active!
