This video is a brief tour of my room. I live in Aston Hall in the Commons at Texas A&M, which is a building between 4 different dorms (Dunn, Kreuger, Mosher, and Aston Halls). The Commons has areas for studying, a game room, a community learning center with computers and printers, and a dining hall. The Commons style dorms are two bedroom suites that share a bathroom, so there are 2 people per room and bathrooms are shared by 4 people. Every week, we have custodians come and clean the bathrooms for us so we don't have to worry about cleaning as much, but cleaning up our rooms is our responsibility. I enjoy living in the commons and think it is a good choice for first-year students.

In this video, I discuss some of the things I have found essential to have in my dorm. Of course it is not an exhaustive list, but It contains some of the most valuable things that I have in my room to keep me organized and be successful. I also talk about different housing options available and some quick details about different options. More information about housing at Texas A&M can be found at reslife.tamu.edu/options/halls/ . Another thing about housing is that besides Dorms, there are also apartments available both on and off campus which are also good places to live, however the dorms on campus will place you closest to all of the action on campus.

This is an intro to A&M! Many of the things talked about in this video will be explained in further detail throughout the tour. There are many phrases used throughout the video such as "gig 'em" and "aggies." The term "Gig 'em" comes from hunting frogs or fish using a pronged spear called a "gig." It is a thumbs up sign! Aggies are current and former students.

I'm living my YouTube dreams in this video! This is a tour of my room. I live on the north side of campus in a private room. Classes are a five to ten minute walk from my dorm, which is very close for A&M.

Outside the msc

This is the outside of the Memorial Student Center, usually just called "the MSC." It is a living memorial for Aggies that gave their lives for our country. This is one of the busiest buildings on campus as it has study areas, acts as a conference center, has food, and is the main stop for all campus buses.

In this video, we go inside the Memorial Student Center (MSC) and walk around the main areas. The Hall of Honor is an indoor section of the MSC that is reserved for fellow Aggies that fought for our country. We also walk around the Flag Room, which is a sitting area or the "living room" of A&M and pass by the food court.
